Pineapple dandelion green smoothie


Have you overdone it with the Halloween candy, and now you feel a bit slow, down, and lethargic? But probably most of all - guilty? No need to feel bad about yourself, because when has that ever helped you?!? Let's jump into fix and re-energize mode.

I hope you followed my tip of the day on Instastories yesterday: throw away all Halloween candy. There is no point in keeping it around, the temptation is just too much. Who wants to work so hard convincing themselves they don't need the extra sugar, when it is constantly tempting you? Just throw it out, it's probably incredibly cheap junk food anyways. And yes, I do the same with Baby Zand. She gets to eat her candy on Halloween, then she goes to bed, and the candy is gone. Dragging one day of a holiday out to multiple days, weeks or even months, is what gets us in trouble with our health, energy, and our weight. Don't make now until New Year's an excuse to eat everything in sight, just to set yourself a New Year's resolution to work off all those extra pounds again. Stop the endless cycle now, and feel refreshed and alive throughout the holiday season.

This pineapple dandelion green smoothie is there perfect drink to give your liver a little boost, and help flush out all the excess sugar you have consumed. The liver always needs a little extra help when we "cleanse" or "detox", because it has to work so hard. This smoothie definitely shows your liver some love. Give it a try!

Preparation time: 2 minutes

Makes 1 serving:

  • 1 banana (best if peeled and frozen overnight, but ok if not)

  • 1 packed cup spinach leaves

  • 3/4 cups pineapple, chopped roughly

  • 3/4 cups water

  • 1/4 cup dandelion leaves

Throw everything in blender, blend for 1 minute, and drink right away. Can not get any simple than that, right? :-)
