Here in San Francisco we are coming to the end of a week of home-schooling and staying at home. I think we are starting to realize that this is going to be a long-term situation of everyone living, working, and learning under one roof, and it is starting to seem overwhelming. While the isolation may be great to slow the spread of the virus, it is doing nothing for our mental and physical health. What most of us are craving is a sense of community and that we are not alone in all of this. All week long I have been coming up with ideas on how I can best support you through this time, and yesterday after being totally exhausted I realized that everything you need is already on the blog: healthy recipes with simple ingredients that are still available at the stores (fresh veggies and fruits are still abundant!). Close to 200 exercise videos that you can do at home to keep you feeling alive and well. And the free Ultimate Health Miniseries that will set you up for healthy habits.
But the one thing I have heard again and again this week is that you are having a hard time showing up to exercise for yourself when no one is holding you accountable - there isn't a class happening at a certain time and your running buddy isn't waiting for you. So that is what I am going to give you: accountability! Tomorrow morning (Saturday March 21st) at 9AM PDT I am hosting a FREE LIVE COMMUNITY CLASS online. Come and join from anywhere in the world (yes, I will do this again for a better Asia/Australia timezone, I promise!). All you need is a mat or soft-carpeted area and yourself. I don't care how you show up - in your messy living room, with your baby on your boob or your children running around. This is an hour of physical and mental health time that you deserve after this week. No previous exercise experience is needed! And in case you are wondering, it will be a combination of Pilates, Yoga, Barre, and Plyometrics. All of the fun stuff that gets you moving and feeling great in your body :-). This class is for anyone who is feeling isolated. Just click here to sign up and join the fun. We will exercise for an hour followed by a coffee and tea chat to connect with each other.
I hope to you see you live!
