Coffee is great to give you that high and you feel like you can take on the world and do anything... until the crash comes after and you either need to hit yourself with another cup of caffeine or some sugar to get your energy levels back up. It's an endless rollercoaster of energy highs and lows leaving you feeling exhausted by the end of the day and in need to do it all again tomorrow.
What if you could have more energy without the coffee? Green smoothies are my go-to and this one is extra filling and fueling. The leafy greens give you all the energy from the sun. The coconut milk grounds that energy so it is long-lasting. The cinnamon helps to keep your blood sugar balanced so you don't get cravings within the hour and the banana adds sweetness without extra added sugar. Give this recipe a try!

Makes 1 big serving or 2 small servings:
1 cup (wild if you can find them) blueberries
1 cup spinach
1 cup coconut milk (make your own right here)
1 tsp cinnamon
Blend everything for 1 minute until creamy and smooth.
