Do you want my secret to more energy?

It’s not a smoothie, a shake, a kale leaf, a workout, or a specific meditation. It’s a lot of things that all come together under the umbrella of the moon. ⁣ ⁣ Wait, what?!?  ⁣ Yeah I know this sounds new-agey-hippy-witchy- weird but just stay with me for a moment. ⁣ ⁣ Four years ago after giving birth to Baby Zand I started charting my cycle - not for fertility but just because I was interested to see how my hormones were recovering. What I realized is that the phases of the moon and the phases of my cycle perfectly correlated and brought with them different energies. ⁣ ⁣ No one is exactly the same every day so why should we exercise and eat in exactly the same way? It makes no sense. ⁣ And if you need a little bit more science to back up how the moon influences you, just remember that the moon and its gravitational pull is responsible for moving the water in the ocean to high and low tides. Since our bodies are close to 60% water, the moon also has an internal pull on our bodies!  ⁣ Once I started to exercise in line with the moon phases (and eventually my own cycle phases), I had this incredible relief that I didn’t have to show up with the same energy every day for my hundred burpees. Instead, on days when the moon was getting darker and barely visible I would also slow down and move in more restorative ways. ⁣ ⁣ And guess what?!? ⁣ ⁣ After the new moon I would come out on the other side with more energy than I ever had. Miracle? No. Just beautifully living in rhythm with nature. ⁣ That is why I’m obsessed with bringing you new and full moon flows on Move with Martina.
