The most-cooked recipe on the blog is the Moon Milk from this year's #selflovejanuary tips. Not a week goes by when I don't get asked for this recipe to bring you amazing sleep. And that's because it works! I can feel a difference in the quality of my sleep when I drink it at night instead of a glass of wine to calm me down.
Well, for this pumpkin spice season the Moon Milk is getting a fall makeover and a new Pumpkin Spice Moon Milk is here! I don't know about you, but I am the typical fall Pinterest girl; I love cardigans, boots, pumpkin spice lattes, and the crisper air.
However, I don't drink coffee, and the typical pumpkin spice mixes you find in coffee shops are usually filled with ingredients to throw your hormones off. And if you have been following me on Instagram, you know I guard my cycle health better than any diamonds. :-)
So, if you are also a pumpkin spice fan, come and try this new Moon Milk recipe.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Makes 1 serving:
1 cup coconut milk (or any other plant-based milk of your choice)
1/2 tsp loose chamomile flowers
1/4 tsp ashwagandha powder (or 1/2 tsp loose ashwagandha)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
pinch of nutmeg and cloves
1 tsp raw honey (or other sweetener of your choice)
Place all ingredients except the honey in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat for a couple of minutes until simmering.
Strain the milk into a cup.
Stir in the raw honey and enjoy.
