Hemp seed breakfast butter

Oh, this must be one of my favorite creations yet when it comes to nut and seed butters! I had too many hemp seeds and decided to throw them in the food processor, add some raw honey, and flavor the whole thing with cinnamon and vanilla. Out came this gorgeous, silky smooth seed butter. Perfect to top pancakes with on the weekend, spread on toast or apple slices, and even mix it into your oatmeal! I went through the jar in no time, and now I am back in the kitchen whipping up another batch! 

 

I absolutely adore hemp seeds, since they are a perfect complete protein source for vegans/ vegetarians. I sprinkle them on salads, soups, and oatmeal a lot! Try them for a nutty addition to your favorite dish next time. 

 

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Makes about ¾ cups: 

 

- 1 cup hemp seeds

- ½ cup raw honey (or other liquid sweetener of your choice) 

- 1 tsp vanilla extract 

- 1 tsp cinnamon 

 

  1. Put the hemp seeds in the food processor and process until creamy - about 30 seconds - 1 minute. 

  2. Add the other ingredients and mix for another 30 seconds until everything is well combined. Store in an airtight container in fridge for up to 2 weeks. 

To a yummy breakfast!
