Chocolate peanut butter porridge

Who says you can’t have chocolate for breakfast?! This delicious porridge bowl makes chocolate peanut butter cups completely breakfast worthy. Make sure to get natural peanut butter, meaning no sugar added, perhaps only a bit of salt, and no other additives. It is completely up to you if you want to use crunchy or smooth peanut butter. I personally love the crunchy texture of peanuts in the porridge.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Makes 1 serving: 

 

- ½ cup oats

- 2 Tbsp agave syrup (or other liquid sweetener of your choice)

- 1 ½ Tbsp natural peanut butter

- 1 Tbsp cacao powder (raw or unsweetened) 

- pinch of sea salt (if your peanut butter does not already contain salt) 

- 1-2 Tbsp cacao nibs

- ½ banana, sliced 

 

  1. Place the oats, agave syrup, peanut butter, cacao powder, and sea salt in a small pot and cover with water. 

  2. Cook the water away over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Keep stirring throughout to make sure the peanut butter melts and makes the porridge creamy. 

  3. Transfer to a bowl and top with cacao nibs and sliced banana.
