With melons still in their best season, make the most and whip up another delicious green smoothie creation. In this one I add avocado. Its healthy fats help to keep you full longer, making this smoothie the perfect breakfast on the go.
Feel free to use any kind of melon you like for this smoothie. My favorite is cantaloupe, which is green brown on the outside and a glowing orange on the inside.
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Makes 1 serving:
- 1 ½ cups romaine, green leaf or butter lettuce
- ½ cup chopped cantaloupe melon
- ½ cup cold water
- ½ large avocado (or a whole small one), pitted
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
Blend everything in a blender for 1.5 minutes until smooth and creamy. Enjoy right away.
